Charlotte is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University working in collaboration with Dr. Jane Taylor and Dr. Phil Corlett. Her current work examines how exposure to chronic stress affects decision making and subsequent drug use. She received her Ph.D. in 2021 from the Department of Biology at Wesleyan University where she was trained under the mentorship of Dr.Janice Naegele, Dr. Laverne Melón and Dr. Mike Robinson. Her research integrated behavioral, pharmacological and optogenetic approaches to investigate the biobehavioral mechanisms mediating addiction susceptibility. Her work was recognized by several awards, including the Poster Presentation Award at the conference for the National Council of Recreational Gambling and the Kiefer Prize Dissertation Award. Aside from her scientific ambitions, Charlotte is passionate about the natural world and lives off the grid on a sailboat.
